MORE ABOUT CAMP DAVERN

Kinship, Community & History

Camp Davern was established in 1946 as a traditional overnight residential camp for girls ages 6-16. With some equipment acquired from the War Assets Corporation and the former Service Canteens & Leave Centres, Camp Davern opened in July of 1946 on it’s stunning 200 acre site located just 25 kilometres from Perth, Ontario.

In the beginning, the camp was able to accommodate up to 60 campers each session. Over the years, Camp Davern has been home to thousands of campers and part of millions of amazing memories. The Ontario summer camp experience lives on and as we head into the future, we are excited to welcome many, many more.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AT CAMP DAVERN

Camp Davern strives to support special diets where possible. We offer vegetarian options to campers and are open to discussing dietary needs on a case by case basis. Pleased be advised that due to our focus on some special diets, Camp Davern has committed to being a “nutty camp”! This means that peanuts and tree nuts will be served in our food.

While we are committed to supporting special diets and allergies, due to the diversity of our food service, we cannot guarantee trace nuts will not find their way into the dining hall meals.
